Director - Technical Manager
Mike has over 40 years experience in the building industry, working as a QS in the London area amongst other trades, then moving on to become an Area Manager for Beazer Homes South West before forming Schooling Builders in 1980. Over the past years Mike has built up the reputation for quality workmanship and a good knowledge of a variety of works. Mike is also involved with the local RNLI at Teignmouth as Operations Manager.

Site Supervisor - Decorations
Mal is responsible for the finishings on projects inc: decoration, tiling and dry lining, he also Supervises maintenance and minor projects with a small team. Mal has been with the company for several years, before becoming directly employed, he was a decorating sub contractor. Mal is multi skilled in several trades which assists in contract deadlines. He is also responsible for our Shower Adaptation Installations, carrying out and managing the contract from start to finish.
Plastering, Rendering, Building
Ken is responsible for plastering, rendering and general building works. Ken has worked with the company for several years and his high quality standard of plasterwork is his speciality. Having been in the industry all his life, Ken also brings a range of other building skills to the company, all performed at a high standard.
Site Manager
Ben has been running a variety of contracts, along with the occassional hands on approach in his other skill of carpentry. Ben has worked with the Company for several years, initially as a sub contract carpenter, then supervisor. He completed his NVQ2 in record time and went on to gain an NVQ3 in Carpentry shortly after. Ben has recently completed his CIOB Certificate and Diploma in Site Management and 5 day STMTS, along with passing his Domestic Electrical Installers Course and completion of a City & Guilds in Solar PV Installation.
Painter & Decorator
Martin has worked with the company for several years, initially training in Groundworks, then taking on the role of driving our own lorry, in 2007 Martin retrained with the help of Mal to become a fully qualified Painter & Decorator, gaining his NVQ2 award in 2008.
Subcontractor
Electrical – our main electrical contractor has worked with us for the past 5 + years on all types of projects. They are qualified to NICEIC standards. On smaller contracts or where the client requests we use other local contractors, all of who have been assessed and accredited to a known electrical standard i.e. NICEIC.

General Plumbing - one of our main plumbing contractors has worked with us for several years on jobs from small repairs and boiler installations to complex hospital works. Again assessed to our standards and Gas Safe Registered (formerly CORGI).

Site Supervisor - Carpenter
As a carpenter, Bernie supervises a variety of projects inc: roofing, general carpentry, window & door fitting, general building and more. He has been with the company for several years.
Mechanical – Having worked with several Mechanical contractors over the years we have a good database of experienced and qualified technicians able to advise and carry out complex projects. Incl hospitals, schools and specialist installations, all to current standards and legislation with testing and commisioning certification.

Groundworks – Our own teams are capable of carrying out various ground working tasks, but where a more complex project requires a larger team, we have several teams of Groundworkers on our database, all of whom are based in the

We can also forward a copy of our CRB Statement Policy issued to all employees. We are also checking our Main Sub Contractors comply with CRB Checks.
Carpenter
Lee joined us in 2009 to replace the carpentry role that Ben carried out before his promotion. Lee holds an NVQ 2 & 3 in Carpentry and has plenty of Site Experience to offer the company and its clients.

Trish deals with all financial matters within the company. Having trained at secreterial college to Pitmans and RSA, Trish along with Emma also assists in contract management and administration.

Emma deals with Contract Management and Organisation. She is also
involved in Admin and office support to the Directors
and Supervisors. Other
duties involve Budgeting
and Finance, Marketing, Environmental Issues,
Training, personnel and
Health & Safety. An associate

and Safety Qualified and has
an HNC in Construction.
