CHAS approval means that we have demonstrated adequate documentation compliance with current H&S legislation and that we have adequate H&S management arrangements. In the same way that Constructionline offer financial vetting of contractors negating the need for multiple assessments of financial standing, so CHAS offers the same service for H&S. Our assessment is due every March.

The Chartered Institute of Building is the leading professional body for managers in construction with over 40,000 members worldwide. For years the CIOB has lead the way in establishing, promoting and maintaining standards of excellence in the construction industry, and sets the pace on a global scale for the education and professionalism of those who manage the construction of the built environment. Mike Schooling and Emma Favas are both Associate members. Emma is also part of the local committee and hopes to progress to Full Members level eventually.

CSCS was set up to help the construction industry to improve quality and reduce accidents
CSCS cards are increasingly demanded as proof of occupational competence by contractors, public and private clients and others. June 2010 saw us move from Gold Accreditation to a Platinum Certificate, this means that over 90% of our team are CSCS card holders. ALL of our team (excl Trish) are CSCS card holders.

We gained the Investor in People Award in January 2005. Whilst working towards the award, we have since streamlined our working systems on site and in the office so that our time and people are managed well which reflects in a high standard of quality workmanship amongst our team.
