Federation of Masterbuilders
This award was received for the Companies ‘ Investment in the Workforce Training & Development’. The final held at the Grosvenor Hotel in London was well attended by Federation members from across the country.

To Broadmeadow, Teignmouth
August 2004 saw the office move out of the family home and to Broadmeadow Industrial Estate in Teignmouth. The office had been based at home since 1980. The local papers featured the move, this involved the early delivery and craning of the large mobile unit which form the offices, into the current yard on the Industrial Estate.

Competing against the likes of Mitie and Lakesmere, both multi million pound companies is not an easy task, Schooling Builders went up against these large firms at Building Magazines Specialist Contractor of the Year Awards in 2005 for their commitment to Training, they received a Highly Commended Award .Mike Schooling spoke with the judge from BAA who commended him and the Company on their excellent commitment to the training within a small company.
2005 Celebratory Party
2005 we celebrated 25 years in business. All employees, regular sub contractors, friends and family were invited to the event held at the Yacht Club in Teignmouth.
2010 sees 30 years in business.

Trish and Emma completed the 13 mile walk around Torbay at just after 3am on Sunday 6th. Participation in the walk marked 30 years in Business, we have raised £450 for Rowcroft and Macmillan. Thanks to everyone who sponsored us. We will be taking part again in 2011 !!

Emma recently attended a Mini Summit as a guest of Constructing Excellence to discuss the problems SME Builders face in this current climate. Much of the discussion focused on Health & Safety, Accreditation, Fair Payments and Access to Information. Representatives from HSE, LABC, CIOB, FMB & BRE amongst others were present. Actions from this and future events may shape the future for SME'S in Construction.
On the 24th June, Emma & Trish attended the Bristol Marriott for the South West Constructing Excellence and Chartered Institute of Building's Built Environment Awards.
The company won the Small to Medium Enterprise Award, for the dedication shown in their Environment System for such a small company. Emma missed out on the Achievers Award, but felt that being the only nominated female was an achievement in itself. Mike & Trish will be attending the National Awards in November.
